Get ready, Drakantos fans! The highly anticipated beta weekend for Drakantos is almost here, kicking off on July 25th and running through the 27th. This is your chance to experience the unique MMORPG firsthand and help shape its future.
How to Participate
To participate in the beta, you'll need to request access through the game's Steam page. If you're already a Steam friend with someone who has access, you might even get an invite from them. But remember, you have to have been Steam friends for at least 30 days to be eligible for a friend-referral invite, per Steam's rules.
The beta will feature four server regions: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Once you choose your region, you can't change it during the beta. However, server transfers will be enabled after the official launch.
Invites will be sent out in waves, starting on July 25th via email. Even if you don't get in immediately, there's a good chance you will still be selected as more invites are sent out throughout the beta testing period.
What to Expect During the Beta
This first beta will only support English and Portuguese. Additional languages will come later. The content is focused on the game's beginning, allowing you to explore the initial area and reach Kasteron, the human capital. This focused approach allows the developers to gather essential feedback on the core mechanics and early progression systems.
Fifteen heroes will be available from the start: Liam, Marly, Zeugladius, Reya, Yura, Ojore, Thomas, Byron, Iris, Ozul, Faendar, Arryn, Orbryn, Yuki, and Korz. You can switch between them at any point in the game, with account-wide shared progress for items like artifacts, trophies, and cosmetics. End-game accessories will also share progress, making it convenient to switch between heroes depending on the activity. The experience will not carry over to the full game release.
You'll have access to a significant portion of content, including the ability to reach Rank 5 in the Adventurers' Guild. This will unlock a wide array of enemies, mini-bosses, and dungeons, providing a taste of the progression and challenge that Drakantos offers. While there are normally 16 major bosses in the game, one of these bosses will be accessible early so you can get a preview of the end-game challenge.
Important Notes
This is a 3-day beta test, so there's a chance you might encounter some technical issues or bugs, and that is expected. The development team will work to address these as quickly as possible. Your feedback is important. The feedback that you provide will play a vital role in the game's development and help to shape the overall Drakantos experience.
