Graphics Updates

The outdoor environments in Project Gorgon have received significant visual enhancements. Improvements include updated sky, weather, water, and vegetation systems. These changes are part of a drop-in replacement for older graphics, with refined quality settings and additional controls available in the settings menu.

Rain has been introduced as a new weather effect, occurring rarely in specific outdoor areas. During rainfall, fire-based damage-over-time effects may fizzle out prematurely, with the chance dependent on rain intensity. This serves as a mechanics test for future rain-related gameplay behaviors.

Voice Chat Implementation

Basic voice chat functionality is now available for hunting groups. It activates automatically upon joining a group, using the Push-To-Talk hotkey (default grave key) for communication. Users should check for key mapping conflicts, as this key was previously assigned to run/walk commands.

The group UI displays speaking indicators with microphone icons, allowing audio configuration per member. Speech settings can be adjusted in the Sound section of the settings menu, including input and output source selection and volume control.

Lore Additions

A new Lore recipe, Word of Power 6, unlocks automatically at Lore level 19. It introduces 11 new Words of Power for players to discover and utilize.

Monster Adjustments

Several monster-related issues have been addressed. Fire Elementals no longer use electricity attacks incorrectly. Balance changes require monsters to have more allies nearby before using Special Buff abilities, increasing the threshold from two to three allies.

Flapskulls in Povus now properly apply their poison gas damage-over-time effect. Burying slimes that have spawned allies no longer removes those allies from combat.

Vidaria Updates

Vidaria welcomes a new NPC, Pitre Ferrence, who monitors goblin Korbok and uncaps Animal Husbandry to level 90. Stable access has been transferred from Korbok to Pitre.

The area around the Frozen Mushroom features more appropriate monster spawns, including a new Rimy Kuvou. The inn's stoves are now functional for cooking, and Ferris Blueheart offers a new questline.

Human NPCs in Vidaria now react to player nudity and address loneliness mechanics. Loot drops have been adjusted, making the Whittling: Yew Butterfly Harness recipe more accessible.

Settings and UI Improvements

Graphics settings have been expanded, with Camera Far Clip Plane and Maximum Entity Simulation Distance scaling higher by default at increased quality levels. The Maximum Entity Simulation Distance now reaches 1000, up from 400.

A new Precipitation Quality setting controls rain and snow particle collisions, including an option to disable particles entirely. The Cloud Quality setting has been renamed to Sky Quality, affecting entire sky systems in certain zones.

Emote commands /accuse, /akimbo, and /cheer2 are properly labeled as VIP emotes in the help menu. The horse dialog window remains open during gene analysis, preventing horses from running away prematurely.

Error messages for items requiring three hours in animal form provide clearer feedback. The Two Free Horses of Good Breeding Stock redemption now grays out with explanations if stable slots are unavailable, rather than hiding entirely.

The Basic Horse, Riding Skill, and Saddlebag redemption now provides a non-breedable genetic horse. Map label updates in Mysterious Locales function correctly, and recipe item tooltips match existing UI standards.

Status effect icons for conditions like hunger, community levels, and inventory status have been visually standardized.

Additional Changes

Druids receive clearer information from Norbert about animal form duration requirements for Animal Town access. Fox animations loop properly, and the Desert Watchers druid event scales difficulty based on online druid count.

Secret chest loot profiles offer more variety, and pathing issues have been resolved for creatures near the Vidaria windmill and Hogan's Basement curtain. Monsters navigate wooden bridges in Serbule Sewers more effectively.

The Rahu Fae Stone puzzle resets correctly when buffs are not collected, and a stuck spot in Eltibule's southeastern corner has been fixed. Invisible bridges in Carpal Tunnels are now visible and functional.

Gazluk's Tower View and Amaluk Valley Cave entrance points have been swapped for spatial accuracy. The spoon-unlocked chest is repeatable, and a bed in Gazluk no longer sinks players into the ground when used.

Terminology corrections fix Palebloods being mislabeled as Snowbloods. Item Sacrifice Altars reject items attuned to other players.

A new ability, Large Box of Space, summons a 40-slot storage crate with a three-hour reuse timer. It requires prior knowledge of Small Box of Space and is available from Riston in the Red Wing Casino for 150 LECs.

A new Lore Note has been hidden in Eltibule for discovery. Kunax Poison now attunes on pickup, and a typo in Gardening Display #E has been corrected to show properly.

Stephie Blackhammer's crafting quests no longer require specific item order, allowing flexible completion. Dying on ladders handles more gracefully, preventing movement issues.
